Summary

Getting started with Grata usually means using the invite connected to your resident record, signing in with the contact information your property has on file, and checking that your building, unit, and available features look right. If anything looks incorrect or missing, contact support before relying on access features.
How to get started with Grata▾
  • Download or open the app: Download the Grata app from the App Store or Google Play, or open it if it is already installed. Search for “Grata Smart Living.”
  • Use your invite: If your building uses Grata, you may receive an invite by email, text message, in-app message, or another method your property approves. Use the invite intended for you — your invite is connected to your resident record, building, unit, and contact information. Do not use another resident’s invite.
  • Sign in with the right information: Use the phone number or email address your property has on file. If Grata does not recognise your information, your property may have a different number or email in their records. Property management may need to update that before you can connect to the correct building or unit.
  • Check your building and unit: After signing in, confirm that your building name and unit number look correct. Your available features and access permissions are connected to your specific property setup. If the building or unit looks wrong, contact support before using access features.
  • Check your available features: The features you see depend on your building setup. You may see digital keys, PINs, guest access, deliveries, building notices, work requests, smart thermostats, or other connected features. If a feature is missing that your building said should be available, contact support.
  • Features vary by building: Grata looks different from building to building. If you’ve used Grata at a previous address, your new building may have different features enabled. Property management decides which features are available and when they are turned on — Grata shows the features connected to your specific building and resident profile.
